Hampton Court Palace is a royal palace in south west London; it has not been lived in by the British royal family since the 18th century. It was originally built during the reign of King Henry VIII, in 1514. In the 17th century William III started a massive rebuilding and expansion project intended to rival Versailles in Paris however, because the work was not completed there are two distinct contrasting architectural styles, domestic Tudor and Baroque. This trip will also take you to one of the current residences of the Queen, Windsor Castle.

This is a must for all tennis fans. Although the summer championships seem a long way off, now is the perfect time to check out the most British of traditions.
